Winter 2024

When it comes to fishing lures, few brands are as popular and visible as Strike King. They make some excellent lures for all of the best bass fishing techniques, with reasonable prices and designs from some of the most successful tournament anglers in the game. This year at ICAST 2023, they showed off some new hard baits, soft plastics, sunglasses, terminal tackle, and new bait colors. Here’s a look at new gear that’s coming from Strike King.
GRAVEL DAWG CRANKBAIT AND KVD SINKING J300 DEEP
Early in the year, especially, you need to have a handful of crawfish imitating crankbaits. They work all year but shine during that prespawn period and the best way to fish them is to bang them around along the bottom and into rocks. That’s what the new Strike King Gravel Dawg was designed for and it deflects off of cover and has an excellent, wide wobbling action.
It’s available in two sizes, 8 and 10, which correspond to how deep they will dive. Each of them will retail for $9.99 and they have many great colors, including many crawfish imitators, both solid and transparent hues, to match the perfect color for the water clarity you are fishing.
Jerkbaits have taken over with the popularity of forward-facing sonar and companies have noticed. Strike King already had a great deep-diving jerkbait
with the KVD J300 Deep and they added a new version, sinking.
This allows anglers to fish at virtually any depth and has the same proven action and profile as the original. The retail price for the new bait is $11.99 and comes in 26 color options.
RAGE AND BITSY EXTENSTIONS
The Rage and Bitsy names are staples in the Strike King lineup; there are several more to choose from now.
