Winter 2024
The bite-sized Bitsy jigs and other products have been there for years and now they have some downsized hard baits that will be great for ponds, creeks, and “bait finesse system” fishing. They include the Bitsy Dawg walking bait, Bitsy (Red Eyed) Shad, Bitsy Splash popper, Bitsy Jerkbait, and a Bitsy (Inline) Spinner.
The newest Rage soft plastics are the Rage Hawk, Rage “Luau” Craw, and Rage Scounbug in the new 4-inch size. The Rage Hawk is a compact 2.75-inch bait with the famed Rage action that will still fit a 5/O flipping hook. The “Luau” Craw is the Rage Craw with an added soft plastic skirt and will be great on a football head.
TERMINAL TACKLE AND SUNGLASS ADDITIONS
The new Tour Grade “Rage” Swimmin’ Head is a unique design with a baitfish profile jighead with a portion of the weight back cradling your favorite swimbait. They come in unpainted, pearl white, KVD Magic and sizes from 1/8 to 3/4-ounce.
They added a new lens color for their sunglasses for low light conditions. Spotlight is a yellow lens that excels for early and late- day runs or overcast skies. It will be available in four different frames, each with two frame color options.
NEW COLORS AND SIZES
Strike King popularized the color “Sexy Shad” 15 years ago and it’s now a staple for bass anglers everywhere. They’ve redesigned the color slightly with the new Sexy Shad 2.0. It will be offered in both soft plastics and hard baits.
Also, new this year is the Carolina Chrome
color, a soft plastic color chock full of silver flake.
It’s a flashy color that does well for the blueback
herring lakes but will work anywhere that bass are
keyed in on baitfish.
The Hybrid Hunter, a great shallow-diving
crankbait for fishing around grass, is now offered
in several new colors. They include tannic gill, sexy
shad 2.0, citrus shad, phantom perch, chili craw,
muh knee shad, ghost gill, ghost purple, phantom
watermelon red craw, gold craw, and ghost herring.
Building on some of their most popular
products, Strike King announced new sizes to their
baits. One of them is the 3/8-ounce Red Eyed
Shad lipless crankbait. It’s a great bait and is now
available in a new size, offered in the same colors
as the 3/8-ounce model.
Another good one is the Strike King Thunder
Cricket, which will now be made in the 3/4-ounce
size. This allows anglers to fish a tad deeper or
faster while keeping the bait down in the water
column. It will be sold in 15 different colors.
Strike King fans should appreciate all the new products hitting stores this Fall. They continue to pump out new designs while building on some of their most successful lures with new twists like additional colors and sizes.
