WHY DOES THE NEW PROCESSOR MATTER?
• It allows your touch screen commands to work fast
like a smartphone.
• It refreshes your GPS map screen so fast your boat
won’t outrun your chart.
• Like your smartphone, you can zoom in and out on
your charts by pinching or separating two fingertips
on the screen.
• It allows live creation of maps, and live images of
fish swimming in front and below your boat, but
more on that later.
The larger LIVE-12 and LIVE-16 models boast a quad- core processor capable of handling massive volumes of data without a hiccup. The larger screens let you take advantage of the software improvements which include the ability to display as many as six panels on the screen at once if you like to multi-task. These two units are also different in that they add an HDMI port, and a USB port to the back panel.
WHAT IS ACTIVE IMAGING?
Designed to work in conjunction with LIVE models, Lowrance has developed a new sonar system called Active Imaging. The Active Imaging software and transducer provides greater detail and clarity at much greater ranges than any other structure-imaging technology.
The Active Imaging transducer has a black, 9-pin connector which plugs directly into the LIVE, and the Active
