TRY KAYAK FISHING
Over the past few years, I’ve become more of a fan of kayak fishing especially in flooded cover situations.
Going with a smaller vessel allows access to more water that other anglers might not be able to reach with a boat and trolling motor.
This happened to me recently at a rather large reservoir called Stillwater Dam. There was a lot of rain which opened up areas around the perimeter of the lake that are normally inaccessible with a bass boat or even a jon boat. I’m more fearless on the kayak because I feel like it’s easier to get myself out of a bad situation if I get stuck.

For presentations, everyone has their preference, but the one thing to keep in mind is that a weedless rig is always going to be the best choice.
HOLLOW BODY FROGS: Frogs are always one of the best choices for weedy waters, because you don’t have to work them a lot. They come in weedless presentations, and they coast right along the top of the water which makes them perfect for working right through mats and
weed beds.
