Berkley and the entire Pure Fishing brand lineup all have a massive list of proven products for various species and budgets. Each year, they add to that list with more excellent products backed by science, pro- angler input, and new fishing trends. Here is what is new for Berkley.
FLUOROSHIELD LINE
Is it a mono? Is it fluorocarbon? FluoroShield is both and why Berkley said it is where “Fluorocarbon Meets Monofilament” describes this new line.
The line is a fluorocarbon that is infused with a nylon (co-polymer) line. This is said to help with both abrasion resistance and long casts. It is built to be equally effective on both spinning and baitcast gear.
Performance-wise, it has invisibility similar to fluorocarbon but acts more like a monofilament when it comes to buoyancy. It is a neutral buoyancy that Berkley says is perfect for reaction baits like shallow crankbaits, spinnerbaits, swimbaits, buzzbaits, and more.
It comes in sizes from four to 30-pound test and in 300-yard and 3,000-yard bulk spools.
POWERBAIT HD TRU COLOR EXPANSION
This group of colors is ultra-lifelike and became available last year as part of Jordan Lee’s signature series and now they have added some of these great colors to other baits.
The PowerBait Grass Pig will now be available in the following colors: HD Blueback Herring, HD Black Crappie, HD Gizzard Shad, HD Rainbow Trout, HD Sexy Shad, and HD Yellow Perch.
For the PowerBait Pre-Rigged Swim Shad, the following have been added: HD Black Crappie, HD Yellow Perch, HD Rainbow Trout, HD Gizzard Shad, HD Blueback Herring, and HD Sexy Shad.

NEW SIZES FOR THE FRITTSIDE
The Frittside has proven to be one of the best new crankbaits on the market. It acts much like a balsa bait underwater, but it is much more durable (and affordable) than balsa crankbaits.
New this year are two new sizes, one bigger and one smaller than the original. The Frittside Junior is two-inches long and the Frittside Biggun’ is 2.82-inches long. They’ll both be available in a host of proven colors.
FUSION19 EWG TREBLES
The Fusion19 line of hooks has continued to get more popular and they have now added a new series of treble hooks. They have a needlepoint to penetrate better and the EWG bend helps for better hookups and keeping fish on.
They have a light wire and come in various sizes and colors to suit the needs of a variety of fish species and uses.
