D

aiwa is, without question, one of the leaders

for rods and reels. They make something

for everyone, whether you like bass fishing, saltwater fishing, or some other target. They also

produce quality fishing line, accessories, and lures.

With a robust offering of products, ICAST is always an exciting time to see what they’ve been working on as they release their latest products.

Here’s a rundown of their newest items that will interest bass anglers everywhere.

TATULA RODS WITH CORK

The Tatula name is well-established, and their rods and reels are very popular with bass anglers. The rods, like the Tatula Bass and the Tatula Elite Rods, are dialed in for bass anglers with different lengths, powers, and actions for just about any technique you want to fish.

They are all excellent rods, but they primarily feature an EVA handle. Now, there’s a new series just for those who love cork handles, with 23 different models in the Tatula Cork series, which won the category award at ICAST for best new freshwater rod.

The lineup includes 13 casting and 10 spinning models; the starting price is $179.99. Besides the cork handles, these rods have some great Daiwa technology incorporated like Braiding X construction and high- volume fibers to keep the blanks light and strong. There are also two cranking models using fiberglass blanks. They also have Fuji concept guides, and the rods will have a 5-year limited warranty.

UPDATED STEEZ RODS

The Steez name screams quality and refinement, which has been the case since they first came out. Now, there is an updated version of the rods with 17 models, including multi-purpose models and some that have been dialed into precise techniques like swimbaits, glidebaits, free-rigs, and bladed jigs.

The new rods are highly technical to keep them incredibly light and also feature unique styling like laser- engraved grips and a unique reel seat that stands out. They are premium rods that start at $449.99, and there are also options for solid tip models, which some bass anglers are moving to for forward-facing sonar fishing techniques like mid-strolling.
