orange for better visibility and detecting light bites. This premium braid comes in 20, 30, 50, and 65-pound test on 150, 300, and 2500-yard spools.
NETS AND TOOLS
The Beckman Net lineup has a host of huge nets for saltwater anglers, but they also have several that would be a good fit for a bass boat. The new folding net has an expandable handle, and the net size is 18 inches by 16 inches by 14 inches deep and works well for bass, panfish, trout, kokanee, and walleye. The handle is 22 inches long, but you can extend it to 40 inches long if you need more reach. It’s a well-built net made of quality nylon material that will store easily in any boat.
On the P-Line accessories side is a new pair of 4-inch scissors with a titanium-coated stainless steel blade. They are incredibly sharp and will easily cut braided lines, even when the line is not held taught. They are impressive little scissors with a spot for your landyard and are small enough to fit in tackle boxes or a pocket.
TACKLE AND LURES
For saltwater anglers, P-Line makes a variety of baits such as jigs, jointed minnows, and spoons. New for this year is the Haruki Jig, a jig that can be fished vertically, slow-pitched, or cast and retrieved. It has a chrome plating to add flash and comes in six bright, shiny colors. The four sizes include a 1.4, 2.1, 2.9, and 4.3-ounce version. They are also built tough with 3X hooks and split rings to battle the hardest fighting fish.
Also new for saltwater anglers are the new halibut leaders and live bait rigs. These are made with the tough P-Line CXX line and include premium components like BKK
hooks, quality swivels, and hardware. There are three options: the P-Line Live Bait Rig, Sliding Halibut Rig, and Trolling Halibut Rig, and each is built for the needs of demanding saltwater anglers.
P-Line’s lure brand, 1st Gen Fishing, on the bass side, added a new vibrating jig. The Copperhead now includes a smaller version called the Mini, with a 50 percent smaller blade size. It also uses a smaller 3/0 Mustad hook, giving it a more compact profile for pressured fish. It comes in eight great colors, and one of the unique things about this bait is the copper BBs inside the head, which give it a unique clicking and clacking sound during the retrieve to help bass locate and zone in on your bait.
P-Line added options for their already popular braided lines with more colors and expanded their lineup of tools, nets, lures, and fishing tackle. These new items will surely be a hit with P-Line fans. •
