Winter 2024
Every year, the team at Berkley adds new lures specifically for bass anglers. Many have become staples in bass fishing, catching fish for weekend anglers and being responsible for many professional bass fishing wins. This year, they added several new swimbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastics.
Here’s what’s new from Berkley for this year.
AWARD-WINNING NESSIE SWIMBAIT
Berkley is no stranger to winning awards at ICAST and they took home another one this year for Nessie, a soft swimbait/glide bait. It won the Best Freshwater Soft Lure and should be a great fish-catcher when it becomes available this Fall.
They will be offered in 10 colors, including trout, perch, hitch, and shad imitators and retail cost will be between $7.99 and $12.99 depending on the size.
DIME CRANKBAIT LINEUP
The newest crankbait from Berkley is the Dime series and it comes in several different diving depths. It has excellent balsa-like action but casts exceptionally well. The baits have the same Flash Disc technology as in the Frittside series, which helps give them great action.

Nessie is a slow-sinking bait that will come in three sizes (5-, 7-, and 9-inches long) and has a great gliding action but in a soft plastic bait. It also includes Berkley’s famed PowerBait scent so that fish will hold on longer. There are also several little details packed in to secure your hook, get the best gliding action, and ensure the durability of the bait.
They come in four sizes, 4, 6, 10, and 15, corresponding with the diving depth for that bait. The colors include many of your standard crankbait colors, but several transparent “ghost” colors with remarkable realism will do great in clear water. Retail price for them starts at $10.99.
