Copper is a high-contrast lens, so they are great for fishing shallow, where details matter. Paired with the silver mirror exterior, they are an excellent all-around option when you are purchasing your next pair of sunglasses.
ROSE MIRROR / RED BASE
These unique lenses are a rose mirror finish with a red base. These are relatively bright but work well in sunny, overcast, or lowlight conditions. The red base helps to give them more contrast.
Subtle details in the water and on the shoreline pop when viewed through these lenses.
VIOLET MIRROR / RED BASE
The violet mirror is Bajío’s newest and is designed for lowlight conditions, similar to the yellow lenses worn for
years by anglers fishing early and late in the day. The red base helps to make them even brighter and adds some additional depth perception, a good thing when fishing for spawning bass.
The bright violet mirror also helps them stand out among traditional fishing sunglasses and gives them a unique style.
GREY BASE
Unlike the lens colors above, the grey base is just that – grey. While the other five blend different mirror finishes with a base, the grey mirror is an all-around solid choice for everyday fishing.
The grey color makes for an excellent low-contrast lens and fits well for various fishing conditions, making them another good option if you are looking for one lens that can pretty much do it all.
COPPER BASE
Another option is the copper base, which gives anglers excellent contrast. Copper-colored sunglasses are so popular because they excel for shallow water fishing, looking for fish or objects like rocks, laydowns, stumps, and grass lines.
Picking the right sunglass lens for the job is arguably as important as tying on the right lure in some instances.
The different lens options offered to today’s anglers are a vast improvement over what was available just a decade ago.
