DROPSHOT BASS

This is a similar shot showing my dropshot rig dropping to the bottom (top right panel) to another bass shortly before catching it. The bottom right panel shows a rockpile under the back of the boat, while the top right panel shows what is below the bow transducer.

CRANE SILT

This is a similar image that was taken with an LSS-1 SideScan/DownScan transducer that revealed the boom of a logging crane from the Barbee Mill that sunk in Lake Washington during a storm.

You can see the boom broke off the barge crane and stuck in the mud 35 feet deep.

This is one of my favorite winter smallmouth spots, although I snag the crane often. You can spot the smallmouth bass in the 2D Sonar panel (bottom right) and in the top left panel on the right SideScan image. Stay tuned for future issues of more Lowrance image interpretation articles. Ciao, Marc! •
