iving in the Northwest, we have excellent

fishing followed by a few months of limited

bass fishing opportunities. To keep from

getting “cabin fever”, each winter I switch to making tackle and building rods as a way to stay

close to bass fishing. Making your own tackle can

be fun and also save you money in the long run. The

following is a quick overview of what you need to

get started and how to do it.

ITEMS NEEDED

If you are pouring lead, the first thing you need is obviously a supply of lead. Lead can be found from many sources, from purchasing it online to visiting a scrap yard – it is a fairly easy to find.
