weight wire also allow me to slow my presentation down while the bait stays upright remarkably more than any other spinnerbait i’ve used.

Bass will not chase food in less than 50-degree water , so the bait needs to literally hit the fish on the nose. When i find one fish, in winter, more than likely there will be several with it as bass tend to bunch up together in colder temperatures. When the SpinJig ceases to catch bass, i will really slow down and throw a jig or even a plastic such as a tube on a jig head. i trust whole heartedly in Nutech’s NuJig, because i know the jig will always stand up straight and hook the fish in the roof of the mouth ensuring i’ll get it in the net. i’ll sit on this spot holding bass for as long as i can stand it, then i’ll move onto the next point next to a cove with deep water nearby i find.

in winter, bass can be found in other types of structure besides vegetation. docks, hard wood, rock piles, ledges, basically any structure that provides cover, ambush points, warmth and a good occurrence of food will hold bass.

Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean you need to winterize and cover your boat; however, for a successful outing its important to know the body of water you are going to fish, where you caught fish in the months leading to now, and the what where and why off bass behavior in winter.
