SKIRTS AND RATTLES

When it comes to skirts first point is to carry skirts that match the forage in your waters. Try to answer this key question – what are the bass feeding on at the time that you are on the water?

Match your jig to that forage, but also pay attention to the water conditions in which you are fishing.

Is the water clear or stained/ dirty? If clear, you will be good to go with a stock forage colored skirt, but if you are fishing in stained or dirty water conditions, you will have to pick a skirt that has some bright accent strands in the skirt.
