Just click on the play arrow and a small red dot will follow your track and show the bottom sonar image while tracking your map on the other side. Just stop the playback of the sonar if you see a rock pile or something you want to remember the next time you are on the water and place a Waypoint at that precise spot. if you want to have the map on an Sd card to use out on the water in your HdS Gen 2 unit, enter the control number of the unit in the “My Plotters” section of the website when you log in. Then click the “Purchase” tab at the top right of the screen to download the map. Sonar logs made from any lowrance Sonar unit will be able to be uploaded and viewed using the online tools, including all of the Free aspects of insight Genesis. only HdS Gen 2 touch and soon HdS Gen 2 Key Pad units that have had a recent software update can view downloaded maps.
There are different Subscription levels. The Free Map View option gives you the ability to view your customized map on your on your computer at now charge. The one-time Purchase allows you to download the map you are viewing onto an Sd card for use on your lowrance Chartplotter for $19.95. The Standard Subscription is $99.95 per year which gives you unlimited use of insight Genesis, you can merge multiple sonar logs on one lake into one map and your sonar logs and merged trips are stored on the insight Genesis website so you always have a backup and a record of all your trips. The Premium Subscription is $299.95. This level gives you control of contour line detail, bottom hardness, vegetation layer and the trend analysis tools. This tool will give you the weather and the barometric pressure on the day the recording was made.
