in an area where wind can be a factor. The larger boats are more stable, hold more gear, and will ride more comfortable. Some other things to look for although they are cosmetic items but will save you in the long run are to keep your eye on looking for a boat that uses breakers instead of fuses to protect the electrical system. Okay these boats are thousands of dollars, but why have your day ruined because a twenty cent fuse went out. When your boat is protected with breakers it’s like your house. If the breaker trips you reset it and your back in business. Something I like is what one manufacturer is doing today. Ranger Boats is going to Aluminum dash panels. A very smart decision because our boats are used out in the sun and elements all day. The cheap plastic dash panels on some boats just don’t seem to hold up very well to the heat. Something else that is important is the Foam Injection that is used in the boat. For example Ranger Boats foam injects every open cavity with foam. By doing this they are sound deadening the boat so you aren’t as loud approaching the fish and it also raises the boats float capacity. Another benefit of the foam injection is the coolers keep ice for hours and hours.

In closing I hope this article helps out a few people with some questions that they had been wondering about and I hope in turn to see you out on the water soon in your new boat! See you next issue guys and Catch a big one for me!
