Fall 2019
Here is what my decades of fishing experience has taught me. As fast as the fish change, so must I!
MENU CHANGES
The fall transition is a time when I see that crayfish and sculpin become a bigger part of a bass’ diet.
Crayfish and sculpin love hard bottom structure, so riprap, rock boulders or chunk rock become fish magnets and a must-fish target for bass anglers.
As the fall transition strikes, I start experimenting on breaks, humps or island tops with a vertical presentation.
I typically choose a dropshot or a Frenzy Baits Nail and a Zoom Trick Worm for this application.
MOVEMENT THROUGH THE WATER COLUMN
During the summer, in the early part of the day, we typically saw shad and other baitfish
