UPPER CHESAPEAKE BAY - HARTFORD, MARYLAND
After ICAST, the Elite schedule had us going up to
Maryland. We traveled North and practiced; but, we didn’t get
to compete, due to the B.A.S.S. cancellation.
Like I said, the weather followed us all year and this is
where it just caught up with us the most.
I think overall, B.A.S.S. made the best decision they could
for the anglers, as a whole.
Everyone can sit around all day and talk about the fact that
we could have fished, or we should have fished; but at the end
of the day, it only takes one accident and an angler gets hurt or
a marshal gets hurt and lawsuits happen. It is just not worth
taking a chance.
The disappointment
for me was that it was not rescheduled. B.A.S.S. sent it out for a vote to all the Elite
