began holding jackpot style bass tournaments for float tubers. over the years the club has expanded to include kick boats and kayaks on its tournament trail. today, boasting more than 50 members, the SCBBBC is one of the largest B.a.S.S. Federation Nation clubs in the state.

When asked why he loves tournament fishing from a float tube or kick boat, Caro said: “You can fish from a round tube and catch a five pounder just like the guy in a $40,000 bass boat. You can be as simple or complicated as you want to be. That’s the unique thing about this sport. Besides, you can’t beat the anticipation and excitement of a tournament weigh-in.”

Clubs like the SCBBBC and Bass-n-tubes of San Jose, California offer a great way to hone your fishing skills. By holding monthly tournaments and providing a forum for information exchange, club members can grow and move up to the next level of tournament fishing.
