The P s of Reel Over Spins
W
e’ve all had them. No reel is
perfect, no angler is immune to the
frustrations of a mucked up reel
due to our overzealous and anxious attempts to make that snap cast to a waiting
fish. Certainly, none of us can avoid that sneaky
tule stalk, limb, trolling motor head, windshield or
dock that just seems to jump out of nowhere and
deflect our perfect cast. Casting into the wind can
be a nightmare. it’s the nature of the beast. level
wind baitcasting reels, are naturally subject to the
occasional over spin and entangled line.
You can call em what you want, bird’s or rat’s
nests, spaghetti, backlash or professional over runs,
