DRT’s reputation for continually pushing the swimbait envelope has made it one of the most popular new bass brands out of Japan. Their latest protype bait “Pharaoh” was on display at the event.
Perhaps lesser-known outside of Japan, local manufacturer Studio Composite had prototype rods on display and for sale in limited numbers. Former Shiga resident, Eric D’ignazio is a strong proponent of the company’s vision to build quality, light-weight rods and lures that are not only beautiful in design, but also intended for sustainable fishing.
