Winter 2024
Since making freshwater and bass fishing a priority in the past several years, AFTCO has been everywhere and has quickly become one of the hottest apparel brands in fishing. They produce quality stuff and continue innovating with products that look great while keeping anglers dry, warm, and protected from the sun.
Their innovation and unique products continue to impress, as proven by the recent ICAST show. At the event, they won a remarkable five Best of Category Awards. In addition to these award-winners, they have several other new items that will interest bass anglers.
THE AWARD WINNERS
It was a big year for AFTCO, winning awards for Lifestyle Apparel for Men, Warm Weather Technical Apparel for Men, Warm Weather Technical Apparel for Women, Cold Weather Technical Apparel for Women, and Footwear.
For men, the Channel Hooded Performance shirt took the top honors and it’s a unique design with channels throughout the shirt running horizontally that give plenty of venting to stay cool on warm days. It’s a knit shirt made of polyester that is recycled and will dry quickly if it gets wet. The Ocean Bound Hooded Performance Shirt was another winner and another product that uses

recycled material, this time from plastic bottles. It’s a comfortable sun shirt with a hood that fits right over the bill of your hat.
For the longest time, women anglers’ options were limited for performance gear for staying comfortable on the water. AFTCO is looking to change that and continues to add new products. The Barricade rain suit is very popular for men and they released a women’s version that took home the Cold Weather Technical Apparel for Women award this year. It’s got all of the same great waterproof features as the original, with little tweaks for women, like the way it fits and zippers for easy removal to use the restroom. Another winner
