Missile Baits is creation of B.A.S.S. pro angler John Crews and is very well-known for the Missile D-Bomb, a staple of western pro Ish Monroe and his “Dropping Bombs” technique. Famous for their “serious plastics”, Missile serves up new sizes, new colors, and new lures for the new season.
A WHOLE NEW PRESENTATION – BOMBA 3.5
What do you get when you marry a Senko and a Ned Rig? How about a craw body worm, introduced by Missile Baits. The Bomba 3.5 is just that – a plastic rocket, creature bait with no appendages. Its erratic fall can easily tempt prey while on a weightless Texas-rig. Its belly slot is made to for a hook, optimizing its snag resistance. The Bomba debuts in eight colors, including Missile’s new Candy Crushed and Green Pumpkin Diablo.
SMALLER PROFILE SPUNK SHAD
Another lure collab, Missile partnered with Hog Farmer baits on a previous release of the Spunk Shad – thick rib-bodied pintail swimbait. It touts a seductive shimmy on a ChatterBait, Scrounger, Ned rig and more. Now, new sizes and colors now come to the Spunk Shad fam. Joining the existing 4.5” and 5.5” version is the 3.5” Spunk Shad. Along with the current colors, the Spunk Shad in all sizes will be avail in Missile’s new colors of Bombshell and Superbug.
EARLIER THIS YEAR – MINI MAGIC WORM
A pre ICAST release for 2023 was the springtime drop of new four-inch Mini Magic Worm. It has been out for a season but needs a mention as it is a new bait for this year. Again, Missile teamed with Roboworm as they had for the original six-inch Magic Worm collab. The new Mini version is smaller, yet proportionate – perfect for the ultra- finesse presentation with downsized profile needs. It is easily rigged as a dropshot, Neko, shakey, wacky or Texas-rig. Colors will match those of the six-inch and were created by Robo.
