assembled from both Bass and FLW. We get to work together as anglers and have great partners with Stan Kroenke from KSE, (HE owns the LA Rams, Denver Nuggets and the Outdoor channel) as well as Johnny Morris and Bass Pro shops. This is the first ever ANGLER-owned and ANGLER-driven tour, and it’s an exciting adventure for all of us involved!
This opportunity is not only good for all of the anglers that joined Major League Fishing, but also for the younger guys that will have more opportunities to make a name for themselves on the B.A.S.S. tour.
I am looking forward to all the livestreaming at each Bass Pro Tour event, and the television that will be offered with Discovery Channel and CBS. It’s a great time to be a pro angler!
We’ve spent over 25-years out there on the Bassmaster tour; so, it feels weird leaving our comfort zone, but
thankfully I had accomplished my goal of winning the Bassmaster Classic.
Looking back, I don’t have any regrets. I would’ve loved to have won the Angler of the Year title. I got close several times; but never got it done. So, I’m really glad I was able to come out of that organization with a Classic title anyway.
LEAVING A LEGACY
As I’m getting into my 40’s now, I feel that I’m more in a legacy mindset. In the early years, it was all about building and building and building.

That’s what we are doing – listening to the visionaries
and pioneers and working
with them to build a new
platform that will be here for
my kids and yours.
HIATUS | A BREAK BUT STILL BUSY
The schedule has allowed me some time to film three Bass Pro shows that will come out on the Outdoor Channel in the first and second quarter of 2019. We filmed on Guntersville and they were biting the Livingston Walking Boss and Boss2 really good.
Topwater fishing is always fun, so be watching for the new season of The Bass Pros on the Outdoor Channel.
It also allowed me to be at more of Laker’s tournaments. He fished the Big Bass Tour event with Robin. She fished with him, because there had to be a partner over 18-years-old and there was a “no pros” rule; so, I couldn’t fish with him.
We’ve also been working full-time on the high school fishing team in Guntersville. The fishing coach retired and there was no one to take it on.
Robin and I felt that if we wanted to see it grow, we needed to help; so, we took that on with the help of a teacher in town. Robin is
