Look Where You’re Going
The correlation between a golf swing and cast are quite similar, with both often having the same major flaw: The golfer/angler doesn’t end up looking where their aiming.
If a golfer’s body isn’t pointed where he’s aiming at the finish of his swing, his shot will be errant. Same thing with
a cast. Too many anglers are looking for their next target,
at their reels, at their rod tips or wherever when they’re making a cast. You can get away with that making long cats, but it spells disaster when making precise casts and pitches.
Even when just learning, once you understand the basic fundamentals of a flip or skip, focus less on what your hands are doing and solely on where you want the lure to go.
