ice. A very big caution to anglers who have children is to make sure these products are kept locked up and inaccessible to youngsters. While the bottles smell good and look pretty, they are chemicals and should only be used by an adult.
One tournament in particular last year intro- duced me to an entirely different problem that I had to research online– surface foam. I had 19-pounds of largemouth in one side of my Skeeter ZX 200 and my co-angler had several fish in his side. My livewells are independent, but the port side livewell had an enor- mous amount of surface foam.
POST TOURNAMENT
Cleaning the boat is something I do after each and every tournament. I spray down the trailer, wipe down the boat and remove any garbage and left- over plastics. Taking that one step further, an angler should always clean out the livewell system of dirt and debris. At the very least, spraying and draining the livewell system with clean water at home can help prevent issues down the road.

having just in case you are holding five large fish and want to ensure their health
post-release. As a tip, never forget that cooler water holds more oxygen and a foam
free surface is just as important as having water in your livewell.
