nyone who has spent time in pursuit of
America’s most popular sportfish knows
that bass can be temperamental creatures.
There are magical times, little windows of opportunity that all anglers dream about when
it seems like the fish will bite anything thrown their
way. In reality bass are more often neutral or negative.
Don’t despair because bass can still be caught even
when they are not aggressive. Welcome to the world
of finesse fishing.
For a lot of fishermen, finesse equates to something along the lines of a 6 inch straight tail worm rigged on a ¼ oz shakey head tied to 8 lb test. There is no arguing that this presentation can be effective. However, there are times when a standard finesse presentation like this just won’t get the job done.
