West. Only a few months ago,
Skinner claimed the championship at 2014 Rayovac FLW Series Western Division on
Lake Havasu with a 12 lb lead over the runner-

on Clear Lake in the California Open, putting
together nearly 70 lbs for three days and a
top-10 finish at the big bass fishery.
Traveling to the event from Lake
Havasu City, Ariz., Skinner brought with
him one of his favorite big bass baits -
the Picasso Buzz Saw in green shad. He
credited it for his Clear Lake success.
“It is a good summertime bait and
it is a good tournament bait.” said
Skinner. “When you only need five
bites a day, it is definitely going to get
you the right five. That is what makes it
such a good tournament bait.”
