frog. Frogs are virtually weedless, so there is no worry about getting interference with the hooks. it allows you to get in those vegetative, ambush points to get a good bite. For the delta, i like natural colors. i will chose cicada to emulate baitfish or a black or dark color frog to represent a blackbird, sparrow, baby coot, or any rodent – like a rat, mice, minx or even a baby duck. i’ve seen them just pound a baby duck. it is an easy meal and bass like anything that is an easy meal. i use a Phenix M1 Nano series heavy action, 7’8” rod for its fast tip. it is easier to cast around cover than a stout rod, because of the bend that is has all the way to the handle.
