ne of the biggest newsmakers for the West this year has been our own delta local Mark daniels Jr. three-day climb to the top of the 2013 tBF National Championship at Grand lake in oklahoma. a moment that many fellow bass anglers dream of and strive for, daniels ascended the ranks of the tBF to earn his spot among 94 competi- tors from across the county and a chance at that National victory. He walked away living the dream. WesternBass.com caught up with daniels upon his return from the championship for an interview with California’s newest Forrest Wood Cup contender.
WB: One word - Awesome! Truly, it is an amazing accomplishment. Has it sunk in yet? Daniels: No, it hasn’t. it’s been crazy since Grand lake. i feel like i haven’t really gotten a chance to grasp it yet. a win like this is something that you dream about, but now it really was my time. i’ve been fishing since i was a kid. i’ve been fishing tournaments for about 10-years. i took five years off when i went to college. i’ve made the tBF State team four times.
