ass anglers are always looking for new ways
to trigger bites from pressured fish. In recent
years, a unique category of finesse lures known as fuzzy baits has begun gaining attention. Originally
developed in Japan’s highly pressured bass fisheries, these
unconventional soft plastics create subtle movement that
can trigger bites from fish that have already seen countless
traditional presentations. As more manufacturers introduce
their own versions, fuzzy baits are quickly becoming
another tool anglers can turn to when bass refuse standard
offerings.
WHAT ARE FUZZY BAITS?
Dice-style fishing baits, or fuzzy baits, are soft plastic lures that feature strands of silicone skirt material or rubber legs protruding from the body. These eye-catching finesse baits originated in Japan, where anglers often must think outside the box and rely on innovative lures and techniques to catch highly pressured bass.
