any bass anglers think that the spring-
time is a time when they don’t need to rely
on their electronics. Most anglers just go
down the bank hitting visible targets and spending much of their time looking for bass in the shal-
lows with their eyes instead of their electronics.
Even though there is a time and place for this,
Bassmaster Elite Series pro Brandon Card believes that
maximizing technology such as electronics, mapping
systems and other tools can make a better spring
bass angler.
ELECTRONICS
There are many reasons why your electronics can help you be more successful in the spring. “Using your Lowrance units is
a great way to find schools of bass staging
to spawn and also to find baitfish,” said
Card. “Right before the spawn, the bass
are going to eat and you have to be able
to find the bait, to be around the fish.”
