i hope this information is useful and at least gives you an idea of where to start looking for fish this time of year. it is stuff i have read, been told, observed, and proven to be accurate over the years.

Let me close with a commentary. The longer i spend fishing, especially tournament fishing, the more i come to realize that success isn’t really based on tournament finishes. We all want to win, that’s a certainty. But there is always only one winner. as i look back on my years of travel, the new lakes i’ve visited, the tournaments i’ve had successful finishes, etc, the thing that sticks with me the most are the people i meet and the friends i have made along the way. i love this sport immensely. Being outside. enjoying all of Gods creations. Seeing nature in its purest form. When it’s all said and done though, and i retire from tournament fishing, the life long friends i’ve made and the good times i’ve had with them, family, and frequently the new friends i make every time a co-angler gets in my boat, these are the real rewards of this sport. i hope you can keep this in mind. don’t take yourself too serious. remember why you started fishing. Pass on YoUr knowledge to others, and cherish the times you get to spend on the water. after all, that is what this sport is really all about.

i’d like to thank my sponsors, dobyns rods, Costa Sunglasses, P-line, and my family who have sacrificed so muchinorderformetopursuemypassion. tightlines.
