Things are going by very fast with the holidays only a couple of months away . i hope most of you have been getting some fall fishing time in. My last few trips have been a blast with great fishing at both Clear lake and Shasta.

First off, we want to give special recognition to one of our magazine writers, George Kramer, who was recently selected for induction into the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame. What a Great honor, George! Many candidates are considered but only a very few are selected for this honor. The main consideration for induction is a person who has made a lasting national impact to the benefit of fresh water sportfishing. Well i would have to totally agree with the committee! Congratulations George, you truly deserve the honor!!!

Most of the tournament circuits have ended their seasons and the new schedules are being announced. We look forward to working with the various tournament organizations to help promote the upcoming events and then give accolades to those who finish in the top of the field.

We are very pleased to welcome aboard army Bass anglers, a new sponsor who we will be working with to help them with their mission to “Support, defend and Fish” all across america. This is a great organization and we look forward to their active involvement with bass fishing here in the west in 2012.

i hope all of you are enjoying the new features of the site and looking over the new eBrochure section. This really brings the ability of a manufacturer to offer their catalog to all our site visitors on demand at any time. Several of the manufacture’s already participate with many more planning on joining the eBrochure section. For any of you who have not seen this new area, below is a link to the ebrochure page.

as far as the message board forums on the WesternBass website, i hope you all understand that you can now view both the “catch all” main forum where all of the posts filter to below all of the regional forums. You just need to scroll down...and you can read the forums exactly the same as you did in the past. The only difference is that you will need to start a post in the region it belongs in. From there, everyone can respond in either the main forum or the regional forums.

Please feel free to email me with any of your thoughts any time, good or bad. We appreciate all of our magazine readers and site users and hope you enjoy using WesternBass as a place to learn, share and talk about bass fishing.

tight lines!
