The early and late bite are sparked due to low light penetration periods. a bass, has very large and exposed eyes that reside on the top of his head, he’s really not so fond of bright lights.

What many of us miss in this situation, is taking advantage of what the bass are telling us when in fact the bite is good early and late, and slow throughout the day. This is when you need to focus on finding the shade pockets, big or small. it really narrows down your target zone, versus fishing out in open, light exposed areas. i have learned over the years, most of my best fishing, year round, occurs between
