he hottest trend in fishing electronics is
Forward-Facing Sonar (FFS). What could be
better than FFS? Dual FFS units. Double your pleasure, double your fun.
One of the best kept secrets of pros is they utilize
multiple FFS units to find and catch bass. As an “early
adopter” my boat is equipped with dual Active Target 2
units, and employing this technology keeps me busy and
fascinated. There is much to learn, and we have barely
scratched the surface of live sonar. The obvious benefits are
apparent, but not without trial and error and many hours of
work and experience. If you are a late adopter, hopefully the
following information will pique your interest and open you to future consideration.
Live Sonar is not without controversy as some consider it akin to cheating. I suppose that means having two live sonars is cheating twice as much. Having fished for bass for more than six decades, I don’t subscribe to this theory. When I compare modern bass fishing to the tools available when I started, by extension everything from boats to motors to reels, line, rods, and lures would all be cheating. Fishing should be fun, and many really enjoy using live sonar. Dual live sonars mean twice as much fun!
