ith modern technology and a
mass media outlet in every
angler’s pocket, a truly big bass has little chance of escaping notice these days.
But that wasn’t always true. There was a time
not so long ago when giant bass—including
some of the biggest ever taken—could slip
under the proverbial radar and be completely
unnoticed by the masses.
Was that a better time? It’s arguable, but
what’s certainly true is that stories of big bass
are compelling and inspiring, no matter how or
when they happened…and if they’re obscure,
that just makes them more fascinating.
