Fall 2021

T

he list of Bassmaster Classic winners is a short one, and while some champs like Robert

Hamilton Jr. and Stanley Mitchell have faded from the public’s consciousness, a Classic

title is a damn good way to punch your ticket toward angling immortality. Of course, the list of two-time winners is far shorter, and every one who is eligible is in the Bass

Fishing Hall of Fame. Their numbers include Bobby Murray, Hank Parker, and George Cochran,

along with four-time winners Rick Clunn and Kevin VanDam.

Among the pros who’ve won both Classic and the Forrest Wood Cup, two of them – David

Fritts and Davy Hite – are in the Hall. Luke Clausen will become eligible in 7 years. Dion

Hibdon is the only one not yet voted in for induction.
