TIP THE ODDS
Being that it is basically pitch black, except for the moon, you’re not going to be able to see things and odds are just not in your favor; so, any little thing you can do to tip those odds helps.
Adding scent is one way. If I am using a Power Bait, I am not concerned with it; but if not, I like to spray Gulp Scent on my baits.
As for added sound, I don’t put rattles in my soft baits; but sometimes, I will use a clacker on my Texas rig – like tungsten with a bead or brass and glass to make a little extra noise.
NOTE: When I throw tungsten, I only use a metal bead, because the tungsten will break the glass bead and cut the line.
