L

ake Mead is one of the largest lakes in the

country. Located on the Colorado River,

about 30-miles from the Las Vegas Strip,

Mead serves as a major tournament des- tination for anglers in the Southeast part of the

country. It is formed by the Hoover Dam and at full

pool the lake is approximately 112-miles long with

nearly 759-miles of shoreline. Mead is home to many fishing tournaments and is often an intimidating lake for tournament anglers to tackle, as they search for winning stringers of bass.

This article will provide an overview of how three western pros approach catching bass on Mead during the fall.
