W
esternBass caught up with FLW Tour
pro Jimmy Reese amidst a pile of Ro-
boWorms on Clear Lake. He showed
off the weightless presentation that he was using at the time and told us there were
1,001 more ways to rig a Robo. We asked him to
narrow it down to a few of his faves and this is what
he shared:
WACKY WEIGHTED
WHAT: I use a 6” RoboWorm Fat Straight Tail with a Gamakatsu Wacky Weighted Head. I like the head in a 3/16 oz size and tie it on 8 lb test.
WHEN & WHERE: I work this slowly on deeper points in colder months.
TIP: This rigging method will give the worm that little bit of action, even while the conditions mandate an ultra slow presentation. Green Shiner and Aaron’s Magic are all-around colors for this setup.

WHAT: For this Texas-rigged RoboWorm, I use a 3/0 Gamakatsu Rebarb hook and a 3/16 oz tungsten weight. I fish it on 10 lb test.
