One other technique that seems to produce during a cold front is a soft plastic stick bait . The simple bait that has proven itself time after time is also a great bait for fishing in cold f fo r o o tb n al t l J c ig onditions. i will also look for the heavy cover and fish this bait with a small tungsten weight, either a 1/16 or 1/8oz, and flip and pitch the heavy cover or the scattered grass and vegetation that usually surrounds the heaviest of cover. a lake that only held Florida Strains. The fish were not biting anything, but i managed to catch fish on a Senko. My partner for the day was slow-rolling a spinnerbait in the deeper areas and i was slowly fishing the Senko. each one of my casts was the same amount of time as three of his casts. This is sometimes the only way to successfully catch fish in these conditions.

Downsizing even more, another approach that seems to produce well during a cold front is the drop-shot. While some still believe that is a small fish technique or a style that only produces numbers and not size, sometimes this is what it takes to catch any fish. often numbers of fish, regardless of size is what does well in tournament fishing during a cold front.

At all times, you have to remember that fishing during a cold front is usually not going to be as productive as fishing during other conditions, but those who are patient and diligent in their approach will often be rewarded with a successful trip. remember to slow down, fish patiently and adapt to the conditions; which is something that we should remember every time we are fishing.
