In the Left/right pane, the bridge shows up on the left and then as the bridge enters the right side signal it continues until it is off the screen. In the Downscan view the bridge is actually flat but as I go over it at an angle It is on one side of the Downscan signal and then completely covered by the signal then goes off to the other side as it leaves the field of view. This makes it appear to be an arch. Then look at the Broadband Sonar and see how this same object appears differently than in the Downscan view. Again, the Structure Scan will aid interpretation of the traditional sonar.
HdS unit, the cursor came up, i hit the left arrow key to trackback to the hump i had seen before and i turned around. i hit the waypoint button twice placing a waypoint on it. i hit the Pages key and changed the screen to a Sonar/Chart split screen, so i could navigate back to the waypoint to find the hump again. i drove right back to the hump and found it to be connected to the shore meaning it was a long underwater ridge instead. i have since fished this rocky point that no one else fishes in tournaments and caught numerous fish off the point up to 9.2-pounds. These kinds of spots can be money in your pocket during tournaments. This means these units can pay for themselves, if you take the time to learn how to efficiently use them for your advantage. take the time to understand and interpret what your electronics are “telling” you and “listen” to the fish and you may be the next Skeet reese.
