offers another great advantage. Positioned this way, it is now easy for your eyes to bounce between screens and compare structure images. The images in the down Scan screen are a little ahead of the Sonar screen images, but if you’ll compare the sonar structure images to the down Scan images, the superior StructureScan detail will really help you two ways. With practice, it will take a lot of the guesswork out of deciding what you’re looking at in the Sonar view. and at the same time, it will teach you how to better interpret your Sonar view images. look at the fish school images in the down Scan view, and then find them in the Sonar view. i think you’ll see
what i mean. if you’ll use this Page view setting and spend some time on the water comparing down Scan and Sonar images side by side, you’ll soon become very confident and much more accurate in your interpretations.
This four window Page setting isn’t always your best choice, but you can’t beat it when you want to see everything at once and how they relate to one another. don’t forget to email your sonar/gps questions into Ask The Sonar Guys at jeff@sonargpstraining.com. We’ll have more next issue.
