miles on their faces-that’s what happens at the CBAf Kids Bass Camp each year. On May 5-6 th at Collins Lake the Christian Bass Anglers fellowship will again host its annual Kids Bass Camp. 50 campers will come and spend all day Saturday participating in hands-on workshops learning knot tying, building chatter baits, pouring plastics, lure presentation, boating safety, casting and much more. That evening the kids will gather around a camp fire with songs, stories and an inspi- rational message from a children’s ministry leader. After the marshmallows have been roasted the kids bed down in tents provided by CBAf for the night. Sunday morning breakfast is served and the kids receive their new tackle kits, rods and reels, and are ready for a day on the lake with a “professional”. T ournament anglers from all over northern California come to give of their time to support this great event. The kids are always so excited to meet their pro and get out on the water for a day of fishing. When they arrive back at the weigh-in the microphones and cameras are ready and parents watch as their kids come to the scales (just like the Bass Masters Classic) to weigh in their catch for the day.

After weigh-in, it’s back to camp for the closing ceremonies, more pictures, and time to say good bye. for several years the CBAf has worked to make a difference in the lives of these young people. The time together is brief but we have come to know that lives have been impacted by this weekend. We want the kids to know that we care about them, that they are important and special. We want to build confidence and faith. Collins Lake has been our host since the beginning and provides a wonderful environment for the camp. The support we have received from fellow bass fishermen is one of the most important elements of the success of the camp. We continue to need your support. We ask for help on Sunday morning May 6, 2012. Bring your boat and take a kid out for a few hours and experience the difference you can make. We know the gas prices are high and there are lots of tournaments to fish. But we are convinced this is really important and would love to have your help. The kids are counting on it! for more information contact Ted Tencati at Te10cati@aol.com or call 408-612-6193 for more information.
