Our unique three stage computer controlled tempering process transforms the hook into a fine grained, ultra-strong micro structure, increasing strength up to 30 percent compared to conventional tempering methods. Mustad engineering is proud to unveil our “MTL-V1” point design, which combines a new more efficient point shape with a new sharpening process to enhance the quality of the Classic Hook range. The result is a sharper, sleek new point shape with penetration resistance 50% lower than standard Classic Hook points!
Mustad hooks feature a wide range of colors and finishes, from black nickel and gold to bronze. These special coatings have been developed to suit a wide range of fishing techniques in destinations throughout the world. We are happy to announce our Environmentally Friendly Black Nickel plating with significantly improved corrosion resistance which has passed the 24 hour salt spray test.
