STEVE CARSON is one of the industry’s most knowledgeable anglers and instructors. He’ll present San Diego long-range trips, quite possibly the ultimate fishing excursion. Learn tackle, tips and information about trips from 3 to 14 days, and about catching yellowfin tuna, bluefin tuna, yellowtail, dorado and wahoo.
MIKE GRAVERT owns Intimidator Sportfishing. He’ll teach you two of his favorite techniques and all of his trade secrets for chasing the Delta’s premier game fish: striped bass. Learn when to target them, tides, locations, and the equipment. Plus, electronics, taking care of live bait, more.
JARED JOHNSON creates, markets and sells tackle for kokanee and other trout. Traveling throughout the western United States, Jared captures every opportunity to learn about and fish on as many waters as possible, applying his proven tactics and developing new ones, too. But he spends the greatest number of hours on Flaming Gorge, a world-class fishery.
J AY LOPES , a full-time guide who owns Right Hook Sportfishing, captains a 26-foot Parker, chasing white sturgeon, king salmon, albacore tuna and multiple species of sharks off the central coast. Capt. Jay will employ the knowledge he has gained over the last 10 years helping people put as many fish on the end of their lines as possible.
ZACK MEDINAS is new to the theater. A full-time captain, owner and operator of Gatecrasher Fishing Adventures, Zack worked as a deckhand for many years and was mentored by the late great, Rich Tipton of Lucky Strike Charters. Zack has served as a sportfishing consultant for the Department of Fish and Wildlife and UC Davis.
JAMES NETZEL owns Tight Lines Guide Service, offering clients Delta stripers in the spring, high Sierra kokanee in the summer, and Sacramento metro king salmon in the fall. His clients include the novice to seasoned angler.
