Our unique three-stage computer controlled tempering process transforms the hook into a fine grained, ultra-strong microstructure, increasing strength up to 30 percent compared to con- ventional tempering methods. Our superior technology also allows us to combine this high strength and control brittleness and flexibility for maximum performance.
Mustad engineering is proud to unveil ournew “MTL-V1” point design, which combines a new more efficient point design with a new sharpening process to enhance the quality of their Classic Hook range. The result is a sharper, sleek new point shape with penetration resistance 50% lower than standard Classic Hook points!
Mustad’s engineers have also developed new construction technology in double and treble hook production. New materials used to weld hooks together result in a smoother surface and more corrosion resistant brazing seams.
Mustad hooks feature a wide range of colors and finishes, from black nickel and gold to bronze. The special coatings have been developed to suit the various types of fishing. And now we have introduced new Environmentally Friendly Black Nickel plating with significantly improved corrosion resis¬tance which has passed the 24 hour salt chamber test.
