The Sebile Star Shiner is a slender minnow jerkbait offered in two sizes and diving bills designed to suspend for finesse situations. When the water temperatures are cooler and Bass are neutral the Star Shiner’s tighter swim action is crucial for catching fish. Cast the bait and allow the Star Shiner to swim into and deflect off of structure. After the bait makes contact, pause and let it slowly rise while waiting for a fish to strike. The Star Shiner’s versatility is evident when used as a power jerkbait. Jerking the rod in a sweeping motion will cause the bait to swim wildly. Pause for 1 second and continue this sweeping action using erratic twitches and jerks. Also great for slow rolling.
