XI Series High Modulus Rods 62,000,000 Modulus Uni-Directional Carbon Fiber Currently, the Xi Series is built with our highest performance material. The Xi Series is made from a high modulus, high strain rate graphite fiber. The material is custom made for us with a light fiberglass reinforcing scrim and is impregnated with our toughened epoxy resin system. This produces rods that are very lightweight with crisp, sensitive actions. They have reserve power without the weight found in rods made from other materials. The Xi Series includes high performance bass and steelhead rods where light, sensitive rods are appreciated by discriminating anglers.
IM-8 Series Rods 42,000,000 Modulus Uni-Directional Carbon Fiber The IM-8 Series is our original line up of rods, which is an all-encompassing series with rods for all types of fishing. This Third Generation fiber delivers a remarkable stiffness to weight ratio for the money. This creates rods that are fairly light weight while still having good durability. The IM-8 Series is the best performance rod on the market, for devoted anglers that want great performance and great value. IM-8 material is also utilized in all of our XF, LSW, and Raze Series Inshore Saltwater rods.
T-300 Series Rods 33,000,000 Modulus Uni-Directional Carbon Fiber The T-300 Series is a value priced material. It exhibits the highest strain rate of all of our graphite materials. It gives good performance with excellent value. The material possesses certain characteristics, often lost in lighter, higher modulus materials. If dura- bility and cost are important in a graphite rod, then the T-300 Series is the right choice. We also utilize this fiber in our SE Composite Saltwater Rods and other select Saltwater designs.
Smooth Glass, Bainbridge, and Classic Saltwater Series Rods Cousins Tackle uses woven E-Glass in several different weights. We impregnate these special weaves with our toughened Epoxy Resin system. This yields parts that approach the performance of S-Glass. We use this material to produce the wonderful Smooth Glass Series, and durable Bainbridge Steelhead / Salmon Rods. We also build our brutally tough Classic Series Saltwater rods from it. It excels in crank bait and reaction bait rods. The Smooth Glass trout spinning rods have a true classic feel.
SE Saltwater Composite Series Cousins Tackle manufactures the finest in Saltwater Big Game rods utilizing our E-Glass fabrics and T-300 graphite together. The glass fabric allows softer more durable tip sections and the graphite combined provides extreme lifting power at a very low weight. Intricate lay-up design and special tooling combine to produce these amazing rods. This makes great saltwater rods that have the correct flex, power and action to cast baits and lures, yet have the ultimate power to overcome tough big game species.
