SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA’S PREMIER BOAT DEALERSHIP
2015 BASSMASTER CLASSIC CHAMPION
Casey Ashley describes himself as a “pro fishermen on the Bassmaster Elite Series that plays a little country music on the side”.
It is a humble response from an angler that has earned the title of Bassmaster Classic champion (2015) and serves as a country music artist with a recording contract alongside Jason Aldean and Mark Chesnutt.
In addition to his Classic victory, Ashley has racked up three other 1st place finishes in Elite events and nearly $1.2 miliion in career earnings from B.A.S.S.
He credits his success in professional fishing to “a lifetime of pure, clean country living” in South Carolina. Starting with a Zebco 33, he has been catching bass since he was 4 or 5-years-old. Inspirations from his early years include fishing legends Denny Brauer, Tommy Biffle, George Cochran and Kevin VanDam.
In 2006, Ashley launched into a life as a pro angler. Teaming up with fellow Carolinians Mar- ty Robinson and Jason Williamson, the trio headed for Okeechobee to fish what was then called the EverStart Series. That led him to the Elites and at 23, Ashley became the young- est angler to earn an Elite Series victory.
